Yet again this years DDAPS angling fun day was a great success, in fact it was the best attended event that we have had to date, with over 350 budding young anglers attending and having a go. It wasn’t long before most of the youngsters were catching fish either, and the smiles coming from their faces told you everything that you needed to know. There were some memorable catches too, with carp to nearly 10lb being taken with the instructors, as well as some quality bream and other species being caught. At the end of the festivities the annual presentation was held for, Angler of the day, this year won by Callum Creedy, the coaches’ award went to Alex Mae Carlton, and the fish of the day went to Kabir Takk with a 10lb carp. All went away with a trophy, certificate and tackle. Well done to you all. Following the presentation the giant raffle was held with numerous prizes won. A big thank you to all the volunteers for all of their time and effort, without their support the event would not be possible.

A special thanks to the Tackle Box who sponsor the event and provide all of the tackle that the guests get to keep at the end of the day.
DDAPS would also like to thank Smith and Chapman photography, the E.A, Kent Police, Jolleys pet shop, Direct Angling. AWKS Computer Crisis Centre.
