Another DDAPS kids day has come and gone and yet again a fantastic time was had by all. Once again the weather was kind to us and it was not long before many of the near 300 young anglers who attended on the day were busy catching fish and having a good time with friends and family.

As in previous years all of the budding young anglers were provided with a complete fishing kit and bait upon their arrival which was theirs to keep for free ! This equipment was generously provided by the Tackle Box in Watling Street Dartford.

At the end of the days fishing, a giant raffle was conducted and awards presented.

Tommy Boyle won the fish of the day award with a fantastic whip caught Tench from the Silt Pond. The coaches award was presented to Thomas Stevens who caught a substantial Carp whilst receiving free tuition that was available on the day. The prestigious Tackle Box Angler of the day award was won by Sophie Bratton.Congratulations to you all.

DDAPS would like to thank; Kent Police, the Environment Agency, Smith and Chapman photography, Location Medical Services, AWKS Computer Crisis Centre, all of the volunteers and helpers over the weekend and a special thanks to the tackle Box without whom the event would not have been possible.
